Delphi Economic Forum Hosts Panel on Trust, Accuracy in Modern Media
The session was moderated by Aria Agatsa, president of the Board of Directors of the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA). Participants included Yusuf Ozhan, deputy director general and editor-in-chief of Anadolu, Claudia-Victoria Nicolae, general director of Romania’s national news agency AGERPRES, and Andreas Frangos, chairman of the Cyprus News Agency (KYPE).
During the discussion, Ozhan highlighted that in today’s fast-moving global environment, Anadolu operates with a high-speed news workflow while prioritizing efforts to counter misinformation. He emphasized that journalists are confronted daily with a large volume of information, including false or misleading content, and that maintaining accuracy remains a core responsibility.
He added that reporters aim to present events faithfully without altering their essential meaning, noting coverage of conflicts such as the situation in Gaza, which he described as involving severe humanitarian conditions. According to him, the agency seeks to communicate developments as comprehensively and accurately as possible to international audiences.
